The biggest navigable barque of the Netherlands captivates its passengers with is classic shape of a traditional sailing ship as well as its three masts.
The ship was built as a fishing ship in the Netherlands in 1980 and operated mainly at the English coast as well as on the North Sea, until it clashed with a wrack from the Second World War in 1984.
Not until ten years later the ship was taken over by new owners who restored it into an impressive passenger sailing ship. The Thalassa owes its imposing appearance to the more than 15 sails, thereof five square sails. The ship has an ample deck and a salon with integrated bar which is located on the upper deck and comes with a magnificent sea view. On the lower deck passengers will find the fully equipped kitchen and a separate dining-hall.
The three-master is a perfect ship for trips with up to 120 persons and offers enough space for even 36 overnight guests during a sailing trip on the North or Baltic Sea.
