In November 2008 a new, exclusive event location has opened in Hamburg: the former customs office «Hauptzollamt Hafen Hamburg» with its own barge pier and bordering to a water channel. Today the imposing building, where once busy customs officers controlled tea, spices, coffee and tobacco transports from all over the world, offers space for up to 400 persons and is part of a unique surrounding: It’s located in the centre of Hamburg’s historical warehouse district but also near to the city centre.

The impressive appearance of the building is based on its historic brick-lined architecture and its size of 550 qm. In contrast its interior design is brightly modern – stylish furniture, restored stucco, high ceilings, elegant parquet floors and a glazed front to the little canal arrange a light-flooded, modern ambiance. Wide ramps in the entrance area permit an uncomplicated delivery of catering and technical equipment.
